Leadership Evolution and Formation of Board of Directors

The Hillmann Family of Companies has announced a strategic leadership evolution to support the firm’s long-term vision and continued growth. The transition reinforces the values that have defined the organization for nearly four decades.

Effective January 1, 2026, company founder Chris Hillmann will transition from Chief Executive Officer to Founder & Chairman of the Board, a role that allows him to continue guiding the organization while gradually stepping back from day-to-day operations.

This transition also coincides with Hillmann’s formal establishment of a Board of Directors, including one independent director alongside key internal leaders. The Board will help guide governance, strategy, and leadership continuity as the firm plans for steady growth at a targeted rate of 15% year over year.

Leadership Transitions Effective January 1, 2026

As part of the leadership evolution:

  • Matt Kamin, currently President, will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer
  • Jacob Hillmann will be promoted to President
  • Chris Hillmann, as Founder & Chairman of the Board, will continue to influence strategic direction, support leadership, and remain engaged in select client relationships

“This next chapter honors our history while strengthening our future,” said Matt Kamin, incoming CEO. “Chris built this organization on values that have shaped who we are, and his continued leadership as Founder & Chairman ensures we stay rooted in those principles while advancing boldly into the next generation.”

Honoring the Past While Building for the Future

Hillmann’s leadership evolution reflects a thoughtful and deliberate approach to succession — one that honors the firm’s roots while positioning the organization for continued growth and long-term success.

As President, Jacob Hillmann will help lead Hillmann’s next chapter alongside Matt Kamin, driving collaboration, accountability, and disciplined growth across the organization.

“Hillmann was founded on core values of Integrity, strong business acumen, a commitment to community service, and a focus on our people – always choosing to do the right thing, even when it’s not the easiest path,” said Jacob Hillmann, President.

Continuity, Governance, and Growth

Chris Hillmann will remain actively involved in the coming years, providing strategic guidance, mentoring leaders, and maintaining key client relationships. Beginning in 2030, he plans to gradually transition into a legacy role, retaining the permanent title of Founder while serving as an ambassador of the firm’s culture, values, and history.

With nearly 300 employees across its growing family of companies, Hillmann continues to expand its national footprint and service offerings, which include:

This evolution positions Hillmann to support its clients nationwide — today and for generations to come.
