Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in arch/engineering/design preferred.
- Active Professional Engineer (NJ/NY) license preferred.
- Experience with HVAC, power distribution, lighting, fire protection, or other MEP systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Prior experience in construction advisory, owner’s representation, or risk management a plus.

- Certifications:
- OSHA 10 Certification
- Other Requirements:
- Mastery of the English language – written and spoken
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable transportation
- Project experience to include residential and/or commercial
- Design, construction, building and business acumen preferred
- Possess demonstrated ability in detailed-oriented success
- Ability to read contract and shop drawings required
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel required; additional software experience is a plus
- Knowledge of CAD, BIM technology and scheduling standards
- Knowledge of construction computer software or systems
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Ability to work on multiple projects and/or tasks simultaneously
- Ability to travel as required – approximately up to 15% of time
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will bring strong technical expertise in building systems design, coupled with an understanding of construction processes, project risk, and quality assurance. This role offers the opportunity to apply engineering judgment in a consulting capacity—evaluating design documents, reviewing construction progress, and advising clients on technical and performance matter.
- Review and assess design drawings, specifications, and submittals for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.
- Provide technical input during design, construction, and commissioning phases of projects.
- Perform site visits to observe installation quality, progress, and conformance with design intent (if applicable).
- Prepare clear, detailed technical reports and recommendations for clients.
- Support construction risk assessments, schedule and cost evaluations, and dispute resolution as needed.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, structural engineers, and project managers.
