Michael Nehlsen is embarking on his 5th Annual Riding For Warriors motorcycle ride today. The charitable endeavor kicks off in Bryce National Park, Utah and benefits Hope For The Warriors and its A Warrior’s Wish program. Hope For The Warriors is a national nonprofit that assists veterans, service members, and military families with a variety of programming including clinical health and wellness, sports and recreation, and transition services.

Through one of its first established programs, A Warrior’s Wish, Hope For The Warriors fulfills a desire for a better quality of life or supports a quest for gratifying endeavors for those who have sustained physical and psychological wounds in the line of duty. Michael hopes to raise $35,000 for A Warrior’s Wish while on his 15-day journey through Utah, Arizona, Colorado, South Dakota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Ohio, and Pennsylvania before returning back home to New Jersey. Anyone who knows Mike, knows how near and dear this cause is to his heart.

Before embarking on this year’s journey, Mike had this to say:

It’s an absolute honor to be able to do this ride every year to help spread awareness about Hope For The Warriors and its A Warrior’s Wish program. I’ve met so many great people along the way. Together, we’ve been able to raise funds to grant several wishes for deserving veterans, and being able to pay it forward in such a notable way is something that brings me great joy. It’s great to be a part of something so positive and uplifting.
